Candlelight Festival

(Friday before Parade)

Annual Candlelight Walk and Carol Sing the Friday before the Santa Claus parade. Join in at Our Lady of Mercy Church, corner of Pine and Walton Streets by 5:45pm with your lantern or flash light. At 6pm sharp, carolers make their way down Walton Street and into Memorial Park for the lighting ceremony. The lights will illuminate the park each night at dusk until January 2nd

HBIA Moonlight Madness Sale

(Friday before Parade)

The Friday before the parade is the annual Moonlight Madness sale in downtown Port Hope. Downtown shops will be open late. Shop ‘til you drop as our merchants celebrate the holiday season with gift ideas for everyone on your list. (see www.porthopehbia.com for more details)

Toy Drive

(during the parade) 

The Port Hope Fire Association will be collecting toys for the annual toy drive during the parade, along the parade route for the Northumberland Salvation Army.

Candlelight Christmas General Store:

(Weekend of Parade - Friday through Sunday)

The Candlelight Christmas market will be set up at (location to be announced) the weekend of the Santa Claus Parade. Don’t miss this opportunity to pick up some great gifts and homemade goodies.

Capitol Christmas – Festival of Trees:

Drop by the Capitol Theatre to visit the display of more than 100 exquisitely decorated trees. Purchase your tickets for a chance to take home one of the beautiful creations sponsored and decorated by our local businesses. Viewing schedules are available at the theatre box office. Visit with Santa

(following the parade)

Make your way to the end of the parade route after the parade, to the old Canadian Tire Building (corner of Queen Street & Roberstaon Street) to visit with Santa himself! Santa will be at this location 2:00pm until 3:30pm. Bring your camera!
