2017 Parade: November 25
2017 brings the 81st Santa Claus Parade to Port Hope.
On Saturday November 25 at 1pm, Santa Claus is coming to town in our spectacular Santa Claus Parade.
Join us along the parade route and watch the lively procesion travel through our heritage donwtown.
This year’s parade will feature an exceptional line up of bands, along with floats and displays from many local businesses, clubs and community groups. Don’t forget your letters to Santa! Canada Post workers will be on the route collecting everyone’s letters to make sure they get to the North Pole. Bring along a food item too; the Fare Share Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable food items and the Rotary will be collecting parade donations.
Port Hope Christmas Events!
Christmas in Port Hope is a Magical Time of Year!!
Most of our delightful Olde Tyme Christmas events begin on the Friday before the parade with the enchanting Candlelight Walk down heritage main street into Memorial Park where thousands of lights go on to illuminate the Victorian Village, trees and band shell. Bring along your own lanterns and your singing voice as caroling is part of this traditional family event. Refreshments are served and then warm up again in the Candlelight Christmas General Store selling homemade crafts and gifts in the Knights of Columbus Hall all weekend, or drop by the Capitol Theatre to view the magnificently decorated trees before heading to the downtown for our annual Moonlight Sale. But don’t be out too late, Saturday November 26th, is our Santa Claus Parade
